Scenes from the film

To whom it may concern,

We have completed a short film called VICIOUS LIFE. The Film touches on many social issues that young people are aware of living in the UK today. The most powerful message put across by the film, is the absolute devastation caused by KNIFE CRIME. We want to use the 24minute short film to bring young minds into focus, not exclusively on the action of the Knife Crime incident, but more on the way it impacts a community and individual characters.

To this end, we have produced a full Citizenship and Media Studies Scheme Of Work to support the screening of the film for use in schools at Key Stage 4 and 5 (attached). All costs for the initial 24min short film (VICIOUS LIFE) have been covered and we are not looking to sell the film to be used for educational purposes - it is of the most sincere and utmost importance young people see such a story. However, it is proposed that we make a follow up short film (by way of a Commission) showing the effects that a single Knife Crime incident has had on the characters in the first film.

We believe that Vicious Life and its subsequent sequel can have a significant impact on presenting the effects on knife crime on a community. We have steered away from a gritty, gang related action thriller as that would potentially glamourise the violence for entertainment purposes and wouldn't have the desired, thought provoking impact we want for the viewer.

Ultimately, we are looking for the first film and all associated materials to be used in schools and trust you will be able to make that a reality so that young people are able to engage with this and be steered towards a better understanding of the difficult and very concerning issue of knife crime and its effects on social circles.

Most recently the film Vicious Life, has been nominated for an award at The London Global Film Awards. We have submitted to 26 festivals and hope many more will be selecting it. The more it gets shown, the more the Anti-Knife-Crime message will be spread.

To recap:-

  1. The film Vicious Life has already been made - we are not looking to recover costs. It's ready to be shown.

  2. A Scheme Of Works (SOW) powerpoint has been constructed for Media & Citizenship Studies. Ready to be used.

  3. We ask for your assistance and support to place these materials into schools to further help reduce Knife Crime.

It's a powerful piece of cinema, please watch the short film; here is a link - https://youtu.be/ee0FepNzGRY?is=3_Q0sIgBs8OSrWnx

We would love to discuss with you how we could further develop this project.

Yours faithfully
